Summer Vibes Book Tag!

Hey there, my lovelies!

Now that it’s already March I decided to finally go for the „Summer Vibes Book Tag“ which was originally created by Deanna @ The Comfy Reader.  The lovely Elli @ AceReader tagged me for this in July 2020 and being the walking and talking oxymoron that I am, I almost wanted to do this in winter. *lol* Well, March is at least a halfway decent time to go for it, right? XD

Anyway! A huge thank you and shout-out to Elli for being so kind to tag me! ❤ It might have taken a while for me to get to it but here I am. Actually spring seems to be the perfect time to go for this because my anticipation for summer is great. I can’t wait to go outside and not to … well freeze. 😂

This said: Let’s to do this!

☀The Beach: A Book Set Somewhere Tropical☀

The plot of this book is quite literally playing on an island in Indonesia so it totally fits the bill. *lol* Not to mention that the chemistry between Kate and Nick is amazing and kind of heats up things as well. ;-P As an FBI agent and con man they shouldn’t even be attracted to each other but as I already said, the tropical heat is actually the least of their worries. XD This is a great series if you want something light in between books. =)

☀Music Festival: A Book with a Focus on Music☀

34325090. sy475
I think after reading „I Was Born for This“ this book will always be the first thing that pops into my mind whenever I think about a book that focuses on music. I mean it’s about a famous band and their fandom so it really nails that prompt. *lol* Not to mention that it was amazing! Seriously, if you’re a fan of k-pop, part of any band fandom, have an own blog and are active on social media this book is for you! It tackles quite serious topics like social anxiety as well though, so keep that in mind when you pick this up. 😉

☀Watermelon: A Book with a Juicy Secret☀

Haha! This addresses one of the most serious juicy secrets ever: „Who killed Evelyn Hardcastle“! XD And it was such a blast to try to unravel this secret! I swear my mind is still a pretzel but „The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle“ was so worth it. *lol* If you enjoy intricate and multilayered mystery books that make you think and blow your mind: Search no more, this one is for you! ;-P

☀Water Park: A Book Set Near or on The Water☀

34499221. sy475

Well, this book plays on the water, in the water and above the water so I guess we ticked off all the water settings. *lol* This said I loved „To Kill A Kingdom“ because the sirens in this are bloodthirsty and the prince is a pirate king that doesn’t mind to get blood on his hands. Add an awesome crew and adventure to that and you have a really nice book that will keep you entertained until the last page.

☀Ice Cream: A Book or Genre That is a Guilty Pleasure☀

Definitely „The Selection“ series! I mean book 1 to 3 were already a guilty pleasure but the fourth book seems to have cemented my opinion. *lol* I really disliked Eadlyn, but I liked some of her suitors and even though the fourth book didn’t blow me away I still want to know who’s going to be the man at her side. So I guess this truly makes this a guilty pleasure read. It caters to my girlish side. ;-P

☀Picnic with Friends: A Book About Friendship☀

46045411. sy475
I’m currently reading „House of Earth and Blood“ and the friendships in this are everything! No matter if it’s between Danika and Bryce or Hunt and Bryce, I just love them. They don’t only feel real but also very relatable. I kinda want more of them now that I’m hooked to this book but since I have no idea where this series is heading (it’s really unlike any book Sarah has written) I’ll just have to wait and find out. XD

☀Road Trip: A Book that Takes You on an Adventure☀

.29283884. sy475

Monty’s and Percy’s Grand Tour through Europe is one hell of an adventure! I loved this book so much because it was very funny and Monty is such an adorable character. His interactions with Percy were so sweet and I loved those two to bits and pieces. Also Felicity, Monty’s sister, is amazing as well and if you want to read a book that takes you on an adventure this is definitely a good choice. 😉

☀Sunburn: A Book that you Regret Reading☀

33843362. sy475
I really didn’t like „Genuine Fraud“ and after finishing it I felt like I wasted my precious reading time. I still think that it’s a „it’s not the book but me“ thing though. I thought „Genuine Fraud“ would be like „We Were Liars“ but it was something entirely different and it featured two tropes I just don’t like in books: An open ending and it had no central theme, so it’s no surprise I got a sunburn. It just wasn’t for me. *lol*

☀Summer Dress: A Book that is Light and Cute☀

41150487. sy475
„Red, White & Royal Blue“! Funnily enough this has a lot of serious topics as well but it’s feels so light and cute that it’s the first book that came to my mind. Henry and Alex were just such amazing characters and this book gave me so much hope for the future of the world. *lol* I wish we’d already be at the level of acceptance that’s portrayed in here but as long as we’re not RWARB is a great replacement for an evening star that should guide us just fine! ❤

☀Mosquito: A Book with an Annoying Character☀

52783987. sy475
I’m sure the Yoongi to my V will read this and agree! *lol* I got so annoyed by a certain someone in this book and to avoid spoilers for anyone who hasn’t read the entire trilogy yet, I’ll just say it was a female character and I didn’t like her. XD You know who I mean, Yoongi! ;-P

As always you don’t have to do the tag! I just thought you might enjoy it. 😉

This was a really nice tag! I should have done this in summer… or well, not! *lol* I like that I did it in March. ;-P Anyway! Did you read any of the books I mentioned or do you want to read some of them?

Talk to me and let me know! 😉

The Summer Bucket List Book Tag

Hey there, my lovelies!

It’s been ages I was tagged for this by Miri @ The Book Dragoness (okay, it was beginning of June but it still feels like it was half a lifetime ago. *lol*) and I finally got some time to do this tag! XD But hey, it’s still summer so I guess I shall be fine! 😉 Anyway, thank you for thinking of me, Miri! It was a lot of fun and I hope the people I tag will enjoy to do it too!

The Rules

  • Link back to the original creator in your post.
  • Feel free to use any of my graphics in your post, or create your own!
  • Tag 5 other people at the end of your post, and let them know you’ve tagged them.

I rarely read a book that felt so connected to the sea. I could almost feel the salt on my skin and I loved the island setting. Hell, I just loved everything about this book, but then again this is a Maggie Stiefvater book and we all know how much I love this woman! <333 She’s a master of complex characters and an amazing atmosphere.

I think I have to agree with Miri here! The romance between the Darkling and Alina turned pretty hot very fast. *lol* I loved them together and I shipped them very hard. XD They definitely had a rather dark and sexy chemistry but it was so good to read about them. <333 I really wish there would have been even more of that because they set the pages on fire. 😛

The first book I can think of is “The Odyssey” and if you haven’t been forced to read it yet, you definitely should give it a try! It might be an old classic but it’s worth to be read. Odysseus is a really intriguing character and his journey is captivating. 😀 You might even say it’s THE book that involves a journey. XD

I’m thinking kind of unconventional today so the first book that comes to mind when I think about stars is “A Court of Mist and Fury”. *lol* (Guess that says a lot about the way I think…) Anyway, ACOMAF is one of my favourite books and legit the best sequel I ever read. I love everything about this book and if you read ACOTAR already you should take this with you on the beach! “To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered.” *sobs*

Marathon Some Movies – A BOOK YOU COULDN’T PUT DOWN

That would be “Illuminae”. XD I swear when I started that book I had no idea what I was getting myself into but boy did I get glued to the pages! I was at the edge of my seat and always wanted to know what would happen next. If the format of the book wouldn’t be so unique I’d say it’s a “one more chapter” book but since it doesn’t even have chapters this isn’t appropriate. *lol* Let’s just say it’s a book you wolf down. 😉

I’d go for “Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda” here because let’s face it, this book is pure sugar for your battered nerves! It’s fluffy balm for your soul and I love it with all my heart! ❤ This sweet romance made me so happy that I’m once again grinning while I write this. Simon and Blue are two precious cinnamon rolls that need to be protected at all costs and they are A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!! ❤

“The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This book was unlike anything I read before and I loved the old Hollywood aura! This story is diverse, it’s human, it has a wonderful atmosphere, a complex and morally grey MC, amazing side characters, it has an awesome bi rep, a great friendship, it doesn’t shy away from addressing difficult issues and did I already mention that I loved it? *lol* If a book deserves to be called “a breath of fresh air” then it’s definitely “Evelyn Hugo”!

Every fantasy book ever written? *lol* I’m just kidding. XD I’ll make it difficult here and say “It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover. It’s no fantasy book but a contemporary romance (leave it to me to think of fantasy first and to choose a completely different genre in the end. *lol*) and I loved the MC for being so strong!! Lily is amazing and I felt so much love for her! The way she dealt with her obstacles was nothing but admirable and I genuinely hope that many people will read this book and draw strength from it. It’s certainly no light summer read but it’s so worth reading it!

I just have to think of “Heartless” by Marissa Meyer and I’m already drooling! Admittedly we’re talking about sweets here but boy, this book caused me to crave for Cupcakes, pies and cake! *lol* If you decide to give this book a try you better have something sweet in your immediate vicinity. ;P Be warned though, it doesn’t only feature delicious food but also a very delicious and sweet love interest! XD

Watch the Sunrise – A BOOK THAT INSPIRED YOU

I’m sure you can’t hear it anymore but “The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde is a book that inspired me in so many different ways. ❤ It got me into complex and grey characters, it made me feel with the MCs, it caused me to question myself as well as my beliefs and it got me into writing. Believe it or not but whenever I write my characters I have Lord Henry, Basil and Dorian Gray in the back of my mind. I want people to feel with my characters, I want them to understand what moves them, I want them to laugh and to cry with them because I think if you achieve that, then you’re truly a great writer. =)

I tag: may @ my 1st chapter, Caidyn @ BW ReviewsKayla @ Books and BlendsMay @ Forever and EverlyMelanie @ Mel to the Any

And umm no, I wasn’t mainly going for names that start with an „M“. *lol* I only try to tag different bloggers whenever I do a tag. Well, except of Caidyn of course! Sorry, pal but you’ll be tagged for eternity. 😛

If you want to do the tag and I didn’t tag you, feel free to do it! I wouldn’t want to keep you from the summer fun! 😀
