The Awesome Blogger Award

Hey there, my lovelies! 🙂

A while ago (in March, I’m such a snail 😭) Miri @ The Book Dragoness nominated me for „The Awesome Blogger Award“ and I can’t thank her enough for tagging me! ❤ Miri is awesome, as is her blog, so it’s no wonder she was nomitated for this award. (I have no explanation for my nomination though, so umm yeah, let’s move on. *lol*) I can’t wait to answer all those interesting questions and I hope you’ll enjoy to read this blog post as well. 😉

The award was created by Maggie @ Dreaming of Guatemala. This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger.

The Awesome Blogger Award Rules

 • Thank the blogger who nominated you
 • Credit the creator (I would have loved to place a link to Maggie’s page but the one I followed wasn’t active anymore. Does anyone know if her blog still exist?!)
 • Tag this post with #AwesomeBloggerAward
 • Answer all the questions given to you
 • Nominate some people
 • Write 10 questions for them to answer

Rankenzeile

1. What is your favorite spread on bread (jam, butter, etc) if you eat bread?

It used to be butter and honey, but since I started to have allergic reactions to honey (apparently being allergic to bees and wasps has something to do with it) I decided to go with strawberry jam. *lol* If the bread is fresh I love to eat it without anything though. There’s nothing better than fresh bread. XD

2. Describe your perfect reading nook! (stealing from my own answers)

Ahh don’t even get me started. I’m still dreaming of my own library room in my own house! There’d be a cozy window bench with an amazing sight into my garden and in winter when it’s cold and snowy outside, I’d sit there sipping my coffee while reading a book. I’m thinking about something like this:

 source: http://www.homedesign.de

Unfortunatley I neither have my own house nor my own garden and therefore this will have to be a dream. T_T

3. Did you experience any funny #oops moments as a blogger?

Mhmm I don’t think I had one of those yet. *lol* If I ever experience one I’ll make sure to let you know! 😉

4. Which book review you wrote is your favorite?

According to goodreads I wrote 343 reviews and I still think that I haven’t written my favorite review… yet. XD Maybe I’m too hard on myself but I still think that there are way better and more talented bloggers out there than me. I know I’m kinda shooting myself in the foot here, but it’s the truth. Can’t argue with the truth, right? *lol*

5. How has your blog changed over time?

I think content-wise it changed A LOT. When I started my blog I mostly posted book reviews and rarely went for a tag. It was all over the place and I didn’t have a schedule and posted whenever I could. With time I figured out a schedule, started to create my own blog memes and since last year I even managed to do a monthly wrap-up. Also: My graphics improved! *lol* At the beginning I drew everything by hand, now I’m working with Canva and it really helped to give my blog some colour! Plus it looks a little bit more professional. At least I think it does. XD (Okay, my review and privacy policy might have helped too. 😛 )

6. If you could eat or drink one fictional treat, what would it be?

BUTTERBEER!!! *lol* And Bertie Bott’s beans! Also I’d love to get my hands on „Lashani Blue“. It’s an alcoholic beverage that’s mentioned in Scott Lynch’s „Gentleman Bastard“ series and it sounds great. XD

7. What’s your opinion on cliffhangers?

I love to hate them. 😛 Cliffhangers and I have some sort of love-hate relationship, because they can be soo good but destroy you at the same time. (especially if you have to wait 2 years until the next book comes out!!)

8. If you could read one book NOW that’s yet to be published, what book would it be?

45044785

I think I’ll still go with „The Silvered Serpents“ here! Just in case I didn’t mention it (and I’m sure I only must have mentioned it about a thousand times by now) I really, really, really, really, REALLY want to read this book! BADLY! T_T

9. How did you choose your blog name?

Well, that’s kind of a little bit difficult to explain but I’ll try my best. Okay, admittedly the „Sassy“ and „Library“ part is easily explained: I’m sassy and I love libraries (I always say they are my sanctuary) so those two came rather naturally. 😉 As for the fox part: The fox isn’t only my spiritual animal but it also stands for a lot of character traits I seem to have. 😛 Plus another reason, of course, is that in mythology (Japanese folklore) they are shape shifters and if that doesn’t fit to me perfectly then I don’t know. XD

10. Finally, what made you start your awesome book blog?

I still blame it on the goodreads word limit! *lol* But seriously, if they wouldn’t force me to use less and less words to describe all my thoughts and feelings, I probably would have never started my own blog. XD I’m a wordy person, I just can’t help it! 😛 So if you enjoy my blog and my super long reviews you might as well thank goodreads for causing me to start my own blog! 😉

I tag:

My questions:

 1. Which kind of music do you like?
 2. Are you rather an introvert or an extrovert?
 3. Which city is your favourite city in the world and why?
 4. In which kind of bookish universe would you love to live in?
 5. How has your blog changed over time? (I’ll just steal that one from Miri because it’s really such an interesting question!)
 6. When you meet someone new: What do you pay attention to first?
 7. Describe yourself in 7 words. (Why seven? Because it’s the magical number! 😛 )
 8. Which kind of superpower would you love to have?
 9. What’s your secret talent?
 10. Why did you start blogging?

This was a lot of fun! So thank you once again for nominating me, Miri! ❤ To everyone I nominated: I hope my questions are as interesting as Miri’s and I’m looking forward to read your answers! XD

Stay safe and healthy!

The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Character Book Tag

Graphics by May @ Forever and Everly

I saw this awesome tag at May’s page (Forever and Everly) and immediately wanted to do it. Hell, I would have even done it without being tagged but my amazing friend Sabrina @ Notes From A Paper Plane Nomad knows me too well and tagged me before I even knew it. *lol* So thank you sooo much for thinking of me! ❤

As May already mentioned in her blog post it’s not necessary to have read any of the books before you do this tag. All the prompts are spoiler-free! 😉 And now to the fun part! YAY! As a huge Percy Jackson fan I can’t wait to do this! XD

RULES

 • Thank the person who tagged you and link to their post.
 • Link to the original creator: May @ Forever and Everly! Please note that she made the artwork/graphics, if using them.
 • Match books with the given prompts.

I could have chosen so many great books to be my „Percy Jackson“ of 2020. „Nevernight“, „A Darker Shade of Magic“, „Scythe“ or „The Gilded Wolves“ they would all qualify for it, but I’m going for „The Impossible Boy“ here because I loved this to bits and pieces. Yes, I’m totally biased when it comes to this book, but for the first time in my reading life I felt at least halfway represented and this made me so happy! ❤ I just couldn’t put this book down until I finished reading it and it was such a carefully written and sensitive book. 🙂

2 annabeth

25524728

I’m going with „Illuminae“ here because this series completely took me by surprise. The format of those books is crazy and the action, the plot, the characters, the ideas and scientific facts behind it all… I was and still am totally blown away by the genius that is Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff! XD

3 grover

865293

I still think that „The Lies of Locke Lamora“ is way too under-hyped! I mean this series is amazing!! I love the Gentleman Bastards and Scott Lynch is such a genius for thinking up all those plot ideas! There are so many details that come into play at the end and just wow! I have no idea how he does it but his books are brilliant! 😀

At the risk of disgruntling a lot of fans: I really though I’d hate „Wildcard“ by Marie Lu. I loved „The Young Elites“ and decided to read „Warcross“ just to find out that it wasn’t really for me. I had quite a few issues with the first book and was really, really sceptical when I started to read „Wildcard“, but OMG I actually ended up enjoying it. Which obviously makes me an odd duck again because apparently everyone else loved „Warcross“ and was disappointed by „Wildcard“. *lol*

5 chiron

17675462. sy475

Ahh that’s a tough one. I think it’s a tie between „Harry Potter“ and „The Raven Cycle“. I love both series so much and whenever I reread them it feels like coming back home. Since HP is still more known than „The Raven Boys“ I’ll chose TRC for this one though. 😉 Gotta support your less known favourites. XD

6 tyson

25494343

There are so many amazing books that deal with sibling relationships but I think this time around I’ll go for a book not a lot of people would think of. „Lady Midnight“ because the Blackthorns are #siblinggoals!!! I love each and every single member of this family and Helen, Mark, Julian, Ty, Livvy, Dru and Tavvy are EVERYTHING!!! ❤ Those siblings love each other so much it always makes me weep! *sniff*

7 thalia

41998311. sy475

I think I’ll go with „Dry“ here because it was the last book I read that managed to keep me glued to the pages. I always read about 5 different books at the same time and therefore it usually takes me quite a while to finish the books I read. With „Dry“ I was done in a week and whenever I stopped reading I noticed that a lot of time had passed. *lol*

8 nico

13516154

„The Song of Achilles“ *sighs* I think so far I know no one who didn’t like this book and it’s definitely one of my favourites! ❤ Madeline Miller’s writing style is so amazing and I love this book with all my heart! Patroclus and Achilles were the best and I’ll never get over them! T_T

9 calypso

49774

Harry Potter!! I hope that I’d have all the other six books with me on that island too though! Would be a shame just to be able to read only the first one. *lol* But the bookish gods wouldn’t be so cruel to leave me with only the first book, right? 😛

10 rachel

17699853

I think there’s no way this won’t be a five star read for me. So far I loved all of Cassie’s books and I can’t wait to dive into this series! I mean the children of Will Herondale?!! I’m so going to love James, I already know it. And his parabatai and I’ll be intrigued by Cordelia and OMG!! I’m so hyped for this I can’t even! =))) I need to read this asap. *lol*

11 jason

45044785

Oh gods, don’t ask me a question like that! I’d even take two hits by a brick just to get my fingers on a copy of „The Silvered Serpents“! I’ve been dying to read this book ever since I finished „The Gilded Wolves“ and even joined NetGalley in the hope to get an ARC. Unfortunately NetGalley declined my request and I’m still devastated! I JUST WANT TO READ THIS FREAKING BOOK! So, so badly! T_T

12 piper

13555073

My bestie has been raving about this series whenever we went to the library and I got curious. About two years ago I picked up the first book „The Screaming Staircase“ and was hooked! 😀 I just loved those kids and the world they live in! Stroud wrote such a unique story and the characters grew on me! I’m pretty sure I would have loved this even more as a kid! ❤

13 leo

Red, White & Royal BlueI just realized that I don’t read a lot of funny books. *lol* But I think I’ll go with „Red, White & Royal Blue“ here because this book didn’t only make me smile but also managed to make me laugh out loud which is kind of a feat! At least I usually don’t make it a habit to laugh like a madman when I’m in public transport. 😛 I loved this book so much and I’m sure I’ll reread it one day. 😀

14 hazel

305234

Does 2007 count as old? *lol* Since it’s been 13 years I’ll just say „yes“ and go with „Wicked Lovely“. It’s the first book in Melissa Marr’s „Wicked Lovely Series“ and I still love this series so much! ❤ This was the first time I read about cruel, cunning and wicked faeries and I was so ready for it! XD I’ll always love Irial and Niall! My two precious boys!

15 frank

The Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves, #1)Since I already mentioned „The Song of Achilles“ earlier I’ll go with „The Gilded Wolves“ for this prompt. I really, really, really didn’t want to reach the end of this book. The longer I read the more I dreaded the ending and urgh…. now I’ve to wait until book two comes out and I just hope that the ending of „The Silvered Serpents“ won’t kill me again. >_<

16 reyna

22571663

I wouldn’t say everyone hates it because there are some really dedicated fans out there but „Captive Prince“ is definitely one of those books that’s more than just a little controversial. You either hate this series or you love it and personally I belong to the latter category. I got a lot of hateful comments on my review for being a fan of this series but oh well I can deal with the haters. 😛 I still stand by my opinion: I love Laurent and Damen. Period!

17 octavian

7631105

Okay, first of all I’d like to say that I love the idea of this punched teddybear! *lol* It’s soo fitting! XD And then I’d like to mention that I absolutely hated „The Scorch Trials“. This might be a super controversial opinion but from book two on „The Maze Runner“ series was such a disappointment for me. If it wouldn’t have been for Newt and Minho I wouldn’t even have bothered to finish this series. >_<

18 percabeth

17378527

Ahh this is such a tough one! There are so many great romances out there and I wish I could choose them all! But I think even though I might repeat myself here I’ll go with „The Raven Cycle“. And nope, I’m not talking about Blue and Gansey here. I’m talking about Adam and Ronan. ❤ Those two… I loved that super slow burn, how they respect each other, all those tender gestures and soft moments. I swear I must have died about a thousand deaths by just reading Ronan’s thoughts about Adam’s hands. I think I’m dying once again just thinking about it! T_T Ahh my heart!

I TAG:

3 things about me

I read tarot cards. You might say it’s some sort of family heritage, but what can I say? We all got our hobbies. The Winchester brothers hunt demons, vampires and ghosts and in my family we read tarot cards, see ghosts and are emphatic. Pretty much just your ordinary psychic family. *lol* 😛 (I guess that explains why I love The Raven Cycle so much! ❤ )

I had two wisdom teeth and they only got removed recently. Which was horrible because I couldn’t eat properly for almost 4 weeks. >_< I’m really glad they are gone now even though there are days I actually have some sort of phantom pain. Weird, I know!

I used to play in two bands. with the first one I even released an album. We were already playing some of the bigger stages of Austria when the band split. 😦 It was a lot of fun though and I wouldn’t want to miss this experience for the world. And just in case you wondered: I played e-bass. 😛

Questions:

What’s a great book you think is underrated?

24763621

I just took a long look at my shelves and I think I’d say „Wintersong“ fits the bill. Not many people read it and even less of them write about it, but I loved this book so much! Sure there were a few minor issues (word repetitions, etc.) but the atmosphere, the tension and the MCs love for music?! Perfect! Oh, and let’s not forget about the myths! ❤

What’s the favourite thing you own?

Aside from my books and e-reader? *lol* Mhmm… that’s a tough one. My mobile phone is very important right now because it helps me to stay in contact with my family and friends but we’re talking about my favourite thing and not necessities… My necklace with my dog tag. My bestie has the same one and they are both engraved. It makes me feel closer to her whenever I wear it (which is basically every day) and it gives me strength. 🙂 Okay, that was quite personal now…

What’s the weirdest, most random fact you know?

Haha! Oh boy, you found the correct address! There are plenty of random facts I know and I’m an everlasting source of useless knowledge! 😛 Well, let’s go with this one because it’s pretty current: To wash your hands reduces the doubt after tough decisions. *lol* You might say it’s kind of soothing to wash your hands. 😉

Your most anticipated movie/tv shows coming out this year?

When it comes to series it’s definitely „Altered Carbon“ and „Riverdale“! I loved those two shows and it’s about time to continue to watch them. Plus, like every book adaption that’s supposed to come out soon! XD I’m still waiting for all those great series to get on Netflix!

Do you have a guilty pleasure read?

I wouldn’t call it a guilty pleasure read because everyone knows how much I love this series, but I guess because so many people don’t like it, it might be one of some sorts? I just love C.S. Pacat’s „Captive Prince“ series and I’m not sorry for it! ❤ *lol*

Link to my best post:

I think that’s up to my followers because quite honestly I have absolutely no idea! XD

My Questions:

 • What’s your favourite dish?
 • A book that’s so good you would actually throw it at people. They need to read it NOW!!!! (I know I’m being dramatic here, but I’m sure you get what I mean. 😛 )
 • Your favourite song that gives you summer vibes?
 • What’s your favourite quote?
 • Your most anticipated book coming out this year?! (I’m so not trying to find my next favourite book. 😛 )

This was a lot of fun! I hope you’ll enjoy to do this as well and once again a huge thank you to Elli for tagging me! =) And as always: If you don’t want to do this it’s okay too! 😉

Books I Want to Read but Don’t Want to Read Tag

Hey there, my lovelies! 🙂

I was tagged for this by the amazing Laura @ Laura Herondale’s Book Blog and I’m sorry it took me so long to get to it! But oh well I’m here now and I’m finally doing this!! XD So thank you for tagging me, Laura! If you don’t know her blog already you should definitely check it out! She’s a really awesome girl and writes funny and interesting blog posts! 🙂 Make sure to show her some love! ❤

Also, this tag was originally created by Jamieson @Jamishelves, so you should check out her blog as well! 🙂 I swear there are so many amazing bloggers on wordpress it’s really hard to keep up with all of them. XD

 1. A book that you feel you need to read because everyone talks about it:

626F6F78747265616D=7474747474727576707<7473

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – J.K Rowling

Is there anyone out there who didn’t read this yet? Well, except of me of course. *lol* I really want to read this but at the same time I don’t because so many people who read it were disappointed by it. As it seems it’s one of those books you either love or hate and I’m so afraid it might be the latter one for me. Which would ruin my HP experience and fandom and I don’t want this to happen so I’ve been procrastinating for years. XD

 1. A book that’s really long:

War and Peace – Leo Tolstoi

Do I even have to explain why? This book is huge! Really huge! So huge you could use it as a weapon to defend yourself. *lol* And this makes it really intimidating! I mean this has more than 1.000 pages, so it’s no wonder I didn’t dare to read it yet.

 1. A book you’ve owned/had on your tbr for too long:

23403402

A Darker Shade of Magic – V.E Schwab

I don’t even know how long this has been on my TBR. I already had it on my TBR before I joined goodreads and it’s been collecting dust on my shelf for about 3 years. *lol* Funnily enough I really want to read this!!! I’m just scared that I’ll love it too much! I have the same feeling with this as I had before I started “The Raven Cycle” and you all know how much I adore this series and its characters! I live and breathe for them! So urgh… I hope Schwab won’t destroy me as much as Maggie did. >_<

 1. A book that is required reading:

1953

A Tale of Two Cities – Charles Dickens

I agree with Laura here! A Tale of Two Cities is one of those classics that pretty much everyone has read, or at least heard of. And just like Laura I feel a need to read this because Will and Tessa mentioned it so often in The Infernal Devices! Still, it’s a heavy and thick book and even though I wanted to understand what they’ve been talking about I still couldn’t bring myself to read this book. Well, as it seems my bookie Jar has other plans for me though, because I recently pulled it out of it and therfore will read it soon. XD

 1. A book that intimidates you:

The Passage – Justin Cronin

Now that’s a special case because I already read this book years ago and I loved it! And when “The Twelve” came out I immediately bought it and did the same with “The City of Mirrors”. So yes, I have the entire trilogy in my shelves but I still didn’t read more than the first book. Why? Because I loved the first book but feel like I need to reread it in order to understand the other two. *lol* And I’m too lazy to motivate myself to pick it up again. Also 9 years have passed ever since I read “The Passage” and zombies give me the creeps. XD (I kinda love them though… Urgh I’m such a masochist! *lol*)

 1. A book that you think might be slow:

25446343

Muse of Nightmares – Laini Taylor

GAH!!! I want to read this so badly but considering how slow the first book was I’m pretty sure that the second one will have a slow pace too. And right now I’m just not in the mood for slow books. I blame it all on Amie and Jay! They are killing me with their Illuminae files. *lol* But don’t fear, I’ll hopefully read this sooner or later this year. ;-P At least it’s on my Book List of 2019!

 1. A book you need to be in the right mood for:

Turtles All the Way Down – John Green

I like John Green books but I definitely have to be in the right mood to read them. I know there are a lot of people who hate his books and others that love them deeply and I guess I’m somewhere in the middle. I like to read them but if I’m not in the right mood I better don’t even pick them up. XD So yeah, I guess “Turtles All the Way Down” will have to wait a little while longer.

 1. A book you’re unsure if you’ll like:

30653843

Raido Silence – Alice Oseman

I heard so many good things about this but that’s exactly the reason why I’m hesitant to pick it up. *lol* People are raving about it as much as they are raving about “Children of Blood and Bone” and even though I enjoyed Tomi Adeyemi’s book I still had many issues with it. So sometimes I tend to swim against the stream when it comes to popular books and I’m not sure if I’ll like it or not. I mean I love and absolutely adore Heartstopper so I guess I’ll just have to give it a try. 😉

And now to the fun part:

I tag: Kacey @ Tales of a BibliophileSurina @ Book Reviews by the BloggistersMir @ TBR and BeyondLyn @ Nomadic WorldsIris @ Hoard of Books

I always try to tag different people so if you’re not tagged this time around, feel free to do this tag if you want to! I wouldn’t want to keep you from the fun! 😉

Sunshine Blogger Award

img_6583-1

Hey there, my lovelies! ❤

I finally managed to get to this tag and I want to thank the lovely Surina for tagging me for the Sunshine Blogger Award! She’s an amazing blogger and I love to visit her page! ❤ If you’re not already following her blog you should definitely take a look and make sure to check it out! I can guarantee you it will be worth your precious time! 😉

The Rules:

 1. Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link back to their blogging site.
 2. Answer the questions.
 3. Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 new questions.
 4. Notify the nominees about it by commenting on one of their blog posts.
 5. List the rules and display the sunshine blogger award logo on your site or on your post.

The Questions and My Answers:

Question #1: What is your all-time favorite book?

5297

Aww Surina, that question just isn’t fair. *lol* I have so many faves it’s not even normal anymore but if I had to decide for a stand-alone I’d always choose “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. I’m currently re-reading it again and I love this book so damn much! <333 It’s definitely one of those books I’ll never get tired of.

Question #2: What is your most anticipated book of this year?

A few months ago I probably would have gone with a Cassie Clare or Tahereh Mafi book but right now it’s definitely “Red, White & Royal Blue” from Casey McQuiston. I want to read this book so badly I feel an ache in my chest whenever I see a review about it. Everyone is praising it and I. JUST. WANT. TO. READ. IT! >_< May 14th… May 14th… I can do it! *takes a deep breath*

Question #3: What books have made you cry?

Wrong question. The right one would have been “What books didn’t make you cry?” *lol* Seriously, I seem to have a weakness for books that make me cry and I just can’t stop to read them. There were so many books that made me cry… “Clockwork Princess”, “Lord of Shadows”, “Kingdom of Ash”, “A Court of Mist and Fury”, “The Heart’s Invisible Furies”, basically the entire “Farseer Trilogy”… gosh the list could go on and on. XD

Question #4: What book do you feel needs more love?

29396

I always have the same answer here and I’ll never get tired of recommending this series: “The Codex Alera” from Jim Butcher! I loved the characters and the world they live in! I borrowed book one from the library because the blurb sounded interesting and within less than a month I was through all 6 books of the series. I guess this says enough. ;-P

Question #5: Can you tell that I’m shamelessly trying to find more books to add to my TBR? 😉 I’ll stop, promise.

Yes, I can and I really hope you’ll read “The Codex Alera” series now! *lol*

Question #6: What are some of your favorite quotes?

Oh jeez! I’m such a sucker for quotes I just can’t decide for only one. I live and breathe that one though:

“Freely we serve,
Because we freely love, as in our will
To love or not; in this we stand or fall.” – John Milton, Paradise Lost

And don’t even get me started on other quotes because you’ll regret it. XD Alone Maggie Stiefvater’s “The Raven Cycle” is so quotable I could probably write an entire essay! *lol*

Question #7: What else, besides reading, do you like to do in your free time?

Phew! I have so many hobbies but barely any time to pursue them. (To have a kid will do that to you. ;-P) But once I have time I’m writing, drawing, dancing, blogging, roleplaying, reading, cooking, listening to music or I actually even make music (it’s been quite a while though). Or and that happens almost every time except when she’s sleeping, I play with my daughter and go for a walk with her. XD

Question #8: What is your earliest book-related memory?

I remember my nanna reading us bedtime stories when I was a little kid and my parents were out for dinner. I was always looking forward to my parents going out because I knew she would read to us for hours! <333

Question #9: What is the most mind-numbing thing you have ever done?

Now that’s a funny question. I think it was working as a clerk at a bus company. Every day I got there I knew exactly what my 8 hour shift would entail and it was so mind-numbing my brain cells are already dying just thinking about it. I’m sure there are a lot of people who’d love a job like that but I’m just too creative to spend my days with repetitive work. >_<

Question #10: What is the most positive thing you can think of?

It’s not a “thing” per se but I think it would be my family and my friends! =) <333

Question #11: Have you had a good day so far?

Yes!! It’s early morning here and it’s almost 7:15 a.m and my kid is still sleeping because it are holidays! *lol* So that gave me plenty of time to answer your questions which makes me really happy! XD Oh wait, I think she’s waking up now. *lol*

Blogger Recognition Award

I was nominated by Hamad @ The book prescription and I really don’t know how I deserved to be nominated for two different Awards in a week. Thank you so much for nominating me, Hamad! You’re awesomesauce!! ❤ For everyone who reads this: If you haven’t checked out his blog yet, you’re missing out and should remedy this immediately. ;-P

Rules:

 • Thank the blogger that nominated you.
 • Write a post to show your award.
 • Give a brief story of how your blog started.
 • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
 • Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to.
 • Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you created.

My Origin Story:

Haha! You know by now I told my story so often that I think it is going to be one of those “urban legends” that one day will be whispered among other bloggers. *lol* No, I’m just kidding. Seriously, there is nothing special about my story, it’s as ordinary as they come. I always loved reading and enjoyed to talk about books but it wasn’t until I joined goodreads about 1 ½ years ago that I actually started to write about my reading experiences. At first it were pretty short reviews and I had no idea what I was doing but with time they got longer and more elaborate and well, one day one of them (“Six of Crows”) was so detailed that it blew up the word limit on goodreads. This time I’m not kidding. I really couldn’t post it until I shortened it. *lol* So I figured to have my own blog would be a good idea, it took me quite a while until I dared to take that step, though. I wasn’t sure if people would really like to read what I write but the support I got from my readers (can I call them like that?!) was so immense and incredible that I’m still amazed! ❤ Without their encouragement and enthusiasm I probably would have never started my own blog! So thanks to everyone who is reading this now! =))

My Advice:

1.) Be patient with yourself

No blog was ever built or implemented in one day. It takes time to find your own style and to create your vision. We all start with the tools we are given but it is up to us how we use them and what we do with them in the end. If something doesn’t work out the way you want it to you still have plenty of time to change it. Don’t rush things, take your time, do what YOU want to do and give yourself the space to do it right. Your followers will appreciate it! 😉

2.) Be creative and open to your own ideas

If there is one thing I learned ever since I began to blog, then it is the fact that there are no bad or crazy ideas. When I started my blog I had the idea of a library fox and the more I thought about it the more creative I became. By now I have my own fox mascot and my rating system is in paws and not in stars. I believe that this is one of the things that make my blog unique and sets it apart from others. There are many other bloggers who have their own theme and their own style and it’s really refreshing to see all the diversity. Every blog is different, every blogger is different and it’s amazing to see what people can do if they are given some space to put their thoughts and ideas into action. Everybody can be creative; you just have to find a way to let your creativity flow! ❤
