The Winter Wonderland Book Tag

Hey there, my lovelies!

I was tagged for this by Juli @ Ich Lese last summer so I thought it would be fitting to do this tag now that it’s almost summer again. I know, I know, my brain works in mysterious ways sometimes. ;-P I could have done that in winter too, but nah. Where’s the fun? XD Anyway, as it seems this tag originated from Tracy at Truffle’s Literary Wonders so a huge thanks to Tracy for creating this tag. =) Also THANK YOU (this time actually in capital letters *lol*) to Juli for thinking of me when she did that tag! If you don’t know Juli’s blog already make sure to check it out! It’s a really lovely page and Juli has interesting content!

This said let’s have some fun and go for the answers! 😉

One: What book is so happy and so sweet that it just warms your heart?

Carry On – Rainbow Rowell

Just in case you didn’t already know this: I hug this book like a pillow before I fall asleep! *lol* No, seriously, a pillow is more comfortable but I just love this book so much! ❤ Whenever I think about Baz and Simon my heart gets all warm and soft and „Carry On“ never fails to make me happy! It’s just too sweet and the MCs are A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E! If you haven’t read this yet, you’re clearly missing out! ;-P

Two: What’s your favourite book with a white cover?

The Raven Boys – Maggie Stiefvater

Was I even supposed to think of another book here? *lol* All four books of „The Raven Cycle“ have a white background and this series is one of my all time favourites! I just love all those four boys and I can’t get enough of them. I love this series and it’s characters so much it’s not normal anymore! ❤ So yep, I’ll always go with „The Raven Boys“ here! XD

Three: You’re sitting in a nice, comfortable chair with a cup of hot chocolate. What monster book are you reading?

The Name of the Wind – Patrick Rothfuss

This book is one of the biggest I ever read and I loved every second of it. I think I even read it in winter and mostly on cozy nights at home. Kvothe is one hell of a fine character and I love him so much! Seriously, he’s exactly the kind of hero I love in my books. So no wonder I ate this up like a pile of tasty pancakes. *lol* But seriously, if you’ve never heard of this book and never read it: Do yourself a favour and read it now! 😉

Four: It’s snowing outside and you decide you want to have a snowball fight. What fictional character do you want to have this snowball fight with?

7171637. sy475

The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare

Ohhh I’d be so ready for a snowball fight with Will and Jem! Just imagine all the banter and how fun it would be? They are my favourite shadowhunter duo and something ordinary like a snowball fight would be already amazing! ❤ Ahh why did you make me think of this. I want to go for a snowball fight with them now! XD

Five: Sadly, your campfire is dying. What last few chapters of a book would you throw in the fire to revive it and keep yourself warm?

52518647. sx318 sy475

Imagine Me – Tahereh Mafi

Just chapters? Can I throw the entire book in the fire? *lol* Because quite honestly the idea of throwing this into a fire was the only thing that got me through this book. XD Sure, there were a couple of nice moments but mostly I just wanted to shred it into little tiny pieces and be done with it. Wow, I finished this a while ago but as it seems I’m still salty! Haha!

Six: What book do you love so much that you would buy another copy of it to give to someone as a Christmas gift (or any gift really) to inspire them to start reading?

The Lies of Locke Lamora – Scott Lynch

I really enjoyed this when I read it for the first time and I actually got it as a Christmas gift for one of my besties. She reads a lot of fantasy books so I figured that one would be a great choice for her. Especially because Locke Lamora and his band of Gentleman bastards is awesome!

Seven: Who do you tag?

I tag:
Mayu @ Bookshelf Life
Anna @ Anna’s Book Nook
Riddhi @ Whispering Stories
Sabrina @ Notes from a Paper Plane Nomad
Maya @ Her Bookish Desires
Rania @ Rania’s Rambling Reads

As always you don’t have to do the tag but I’m sure it would be fun to read your answers! 😀

For some reason I think I enjoyed this even more because I did it in spring. *lol* Do you agree with any of my choices and which book would you throw in the fire to revive it? (Very curious about that one. XD) It as fun to do this and I’m looking forward to read your answers! Thanks once again to Juli for tagging me. ❤

And as always: Take care! And stay healthy and safe!

Books I Want to Read but Don’t Want to Read Tag

Hey there, my lovelies! 🙂

I was tagged for this by the amazing Laura @ Laura Herondale’s Book Blog and I’m sorry it took me so long to get to it! But oh well I’m here now and I’m finally doing this!! XD So thank you for tagging me, Laura! If you don’t know her blog already you should definitely check it out! She’s a really awesome girl and writes funny and interesting blog posts! 🙂 Make sure to show her some love! ❤

Also, this tag was originally created by Jamieson @Jamishelves, so you should check out her blog as well! 🙂 I swear there are so many amazing bloggers on wordpress it’s really hard to keep up with all of them. XD

  1. A book that you feel you need to read because everyone talks about it:

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – J.K Rowling

Is there anyone out there who didn’t read this yet? Well, except of me of course. *lol* I really want to read this but at the same time I don’t because so many people who read it were disappointed by it. As it seems it’s one of those books you either love or hate and I’m so afraid it might be the latter one for me. Which would ruin my HP experience and fandom and I don’t want this to happen so I’ve been procrastinating for years. XD

  1. A book that’s really long:

War and Peace – Leo Tolstoi

Do I even have to explain why? This book is huge! Really huge! So huge you could use it as a weapon to defend yourself. *lol* And this makes it really intimidating! I mean this has more than 1.000 pages, so it’s no wonder I didn’t dare to read it yet.

  1. A book you’ve owned/had on your tbr for too long:

A Darker Shade of Magic – V.E Schwab

I don’t even know how long this has been on my TBR. I already had it on my TBR before I joined goodreads and it’s been collecting dust on my shelf for about 3 years. *lol* Funnily enough I really want to read this!!! I’m just scared that I’ll love it too much! I have the same feeling with this as I had before I started “The Raven Cycle” and you all know how much I adore this series and its characters! I live and breathe for them! So urgh… I hope Schwab won’t destroy me as much as Maggie did. >_<

  1. A book that is required reading:

A Tale of Two Cities – Charles Dickens

I agree with Laura here! A Tale of Two Cities is one of those classics that pretty much everyone has read, or at least heard of. And just like Laura I feel a need to read this because Will and Tessa mentioned it so often in The Infernal Devices! Still, it’s a heavy and thick book and even though I wanted to understand what they’ve been talking about I still couldn’t bring myself to read this book. Well, as it seems my bookie Jar has other plans for me though, because I recently pulled it out of it and therfore will read it soon. XD

  1. A book that intimidates you:

The Passage – Justin Cronin

Now that’s a special case because I already read this book years ago and I loved it! And when “The Twelve” came out I immediately bought it and did the same with “The City of Mirrors”. So yes, I have the entire trilogy in my shelves but I still didn’t read more than the first book. Why? Because I loved the first book but feel like I need to reread it in order to understand the other two. *lol* And I’m too lazy to motivate myself to pick it up again. Also 9 years have passed ever since I read “The Passage” and zombies give me the creeps. XD (I kinda love them though… Urgh I’m such a masochist! *lol*)

  1. A book that you think might be slow:

Muse of Nightmares – Laini Taylor

GAH!!! I want to read this so badly but considering how slow the first book was I’m pretty sure that the second one will have a slow pace too. And right now I’m just not in the mood for slow books. I blame it all on Amie and Jay! They are killing me with their Illuminae files. *lol* But don’t fear, I’ll hopefully read this sooner or later this year. ;-P At least it’s on my Book List of 2019!

  1. A book you need to be in the right mood for:

Turtles All the Way Down – John Green

I like John Green books but I definitely have to be in the right mood to read them. I know there are a lot of people who hate his books and others that love them deeply and I guess I’m somewhere in the middle. I like to read them but if I’m not in the right mood I better don’t even pick them up. XD So yeah, I guess “Turtles All the Way Down” will have to wait a little while longer.

  1. A book you’re unsure if you’ll like:

Raido Silence – Alice Oseman

I heard so many good things about this but that’s exactly the reason why I’m hesitant to pick it up. *lol* People are raving about it as much as they are raving about “Children of Blood and Bone” and even though I enjoyed Tomi Adeyemi’s book I still had many issues with it. So sometimes I tend to swim against the stream when it comes to popular books and I’m not sure if I’ll like it or not. I mean I love and absolutely adore Heartstopper so I guess I’ll just have to give it a try. 😉

And now to the fun part:

I tag: Kacey @ Tales of a BibliophileSurina @ Book Reviews by the BloggistersMir @ TBR and BeyondLyn @ Nomadic WorldsIris @ Hoard of Books

I always try to tag different people so if you’re not tagged this time around, feel free to do this tag if you want to! I wouldn’t want to keep you from the fun! 😉

My Bad Reading Habits Tag

I was tagged by the amazing Caidyn and his answers were a lot of fun to read. Mostly because I found myself in them, too. XD If you don’t know his blog yet, you definitely should check it out! It’s a really lovely blog and I enjoy reading it a lot!

I think I have many bad reading habits, so I guess I had this tag coming. *lol* Okay, let’s get this over with. *braces for the painful truth*

Haha! I totally agree with Caidyn here, I’m king at this one too. *lol*

I’ve the very bad habit to listen to music while I read. Which is probably one of the main reasons I haven’t tried audio books yet, because listening to a book while reading one would be kinda crazy, but then again I listen to music while I’m reading so erm yeah….you get what I mean, right? Also I can watch TV while I read and sometimes I even cook or eat while reading. Jeez! I just realized this is a really bad habit indeed. XD

Of all my reading habits this is probably the worst! Whenever I see an amazing book that’s going to be released in a year I whine and want to buy and read it immediately but once it’s actually out I just D.O.N.T R.E.A.D I.T! Why am I like this?! I’ve been like that with “Restore Me”, “Kingdom of Ash” and about ten thousand other releases. Once I get to them they are already at least three months out and the hype has died down. *lol*

*ignores the death glare from my books*

Before I joined goodreads there was a time when I could say that I read almost every physical copy that was in my shelf. Now? Not so much! XD One and a half years later and I have to avoid their laser death stare. *lol* I swear I haven’t bought that many books in ages and there are entire series waiting to be read. And what am I doing? I go to the library and borrow other books I read before I even pick up the ones I already own. I. AM. HORRIBLE.! I know! >_<

I’m exactly like Caidyn when it comes to this! It’s funny that our reading habits are so similar because I have different times to read my four or five books too. I usually read one in the morning when I’m on my way to work, one in the afternoon when I drive back from work and another one in the evening when my kid is in bed. And because this only makes three different books per day, I vary every other day. Haha! Wow, talk about bad reading habits.

I really dunno why I do this!! Maybe it’s the statistician in me; maybe it’s my inner control freak, but I ALWAYS look at the amount of pages first! And when my reading time is limited I even count the pages of the chapters in order to gauge if I’ll be able to finish the chapter or not. When I start a buddy read I’m even worse because my buddies and I usually set an amount of chapters we’re going to finish per day and then I’m basically forced to look up how long they are. It’s the dynamic of the buddy read, I swear. *lol*

Well, that were five of my worst reading habits and I’m kinda alarmed now because I could have added so much more! XD

I’m tagging Lily @ Sprinkles of Dreams, Ashley @ Bubbly Booknerd and  Camile @ This Chamber of Books! As always you don’t have to do the tag, it would be fun to read your answers though. 😛

Book Blogger’s Two Truths and a Lie

I was tagged by Sahi @ My World of Books and I’m very glad I was given the chance to do this too. So thank you, Sahi! It’s really nice that you thought of me and I hope this is going to be interesting for my followers and friends! =)

How To Participate

  • Create a post with your two bookish truths and one bookish lie – but be sure to keep it a secret so your readers can guess!
  • Reveal the lie in a spoiler at the bottom of your post (you can use this HTML code! Just change the “S” in Summary to a lowercase)

Two Truths and a Lie

Ohh, I’m already curious who will be able to detect the lie. 😛

> When I was a teen I read 30 books in a month

> I never dnf’d a book

> I own more than 300 physical books

I Tag

may @ my 1st chapter

Kacey @ Tales of a Bibliophile

Caidyn @ BW Reviews

Hamad @ The book prescription

Iris @ Hoard of Books

Sarah @ Sarah’s Books

Kathy @ Books and Munches

And here is the lie:

I own more than 300 physical books. I wish this would be true but so far it are only (*lol*) about 200. Unfortunately there’s not enough space in my shelves and if I know I won’t read a book again I either donate it to the library or a charity flea market. I still dream of my own library in a big house though. XD

So were you able to guess the lie?! Let me know! 😀
