Hugs’n’kisses OR Dismissed by the Missus/Messrs

hugs'n'kisses or dismissed by the missus

Hey there, my lovelies!

Gee! I really should do those more often. >_< But then again I only do them when I started to read the book of the last one and this time around it took me ages to get to it. *lol*  What can I say? All those library books I borrowed got in the way. At the moment my library is closed though so I figured I could squeeze in a new book from my meme! This said let’s start with the fun! 😉

The rules:

1.) Link back to the original post @ The Sassy Library Fox (I really want to know if it works out for you and I’m curious about your book choices! ;-))

2.) Choose 3 random numbers from 1 to the end of your TBR list. (In my case it are 3 random numbers from 1 – 293, so for instance I’ll pick 61, 138 and 217)

3.) Take a look at the 3 books on your TBR. (61 – Broken Ink, 138 – Brooding YA Hero, 217– Radiance)

4.)  Then you follow the rhyme:

One to hug and read, (Radiance: This is perfect! „Radiance“ is on My Book List 2020 so I had to hug and read this! XD)

One to kiss and keep, (Broken Ink: I’m still intrigued by the idea of this and I’m so going to pick this up once I need a dark m/m book.)

One to dismiss and weep! (Brooding YA Hero: This has been on my TBR for ages and I don’t think I’ll read this anytime soon. The ratings I saw weren’t all that amazing as well so I’ll just dismiss it. If fate truly wants me to read this it will land on my feed again. *lol*)

5.) Read the book you hugged and kept within a month and repeat the process as often and as frequently as you like. (I’ll do this once a month and hopefully it will help me to reduce my TBR ;-P)

Rankenzeile

Sooo since I’ve been pretty sloppy with this meme and added way too many books to my TBR (that’s what being cooped up at home will do to you *lol*) there are still 291 books on my list. My goal is still to get it down to 275 by the end of this year so I better try to be consistent in future! I’ve no doubt that I’ll read „Radiance“ in no time though. 😛

250 Followers Celebration!

Hey there my lovelies!

So about two weeks ago I wrote a 250 followers celebration post (how come it are 265 now? *lol* Anyway! Let’s not challenge my luck. XD) and gave you the opportunity to choose from three different celebration options. 🙂

As it seems most of you want me to draw fan art so fan art it’s going to be! 😛 The only question that’s left to ask is: Which characters should I draw?! And here is where you come into play! Let me know which bookish characters I should go for! You can write down your suggestions in the comments and I’ll put them all into a bowl so I can pull out two of them.

It’s been a while I last drew things in manga style so bear with me. It might take quite some time until you’ll be able to see the final result. I still hope it will be worth it though. *lol* I’ll definitely try my best to make this work! 😉 (I can already tell my inner perfectionist isn’t going to let me off the hook easily.)

Anyway! Let’s do this! I’m looking forward to all of your suggestions and ideas!

Fire away! XD

*hugs’n’kisses*

P.S: Doomslug and Hermione Granger are already in the bowl. 😉

SASSY Saturday

SASSY Saturday

Hey there my lovelies!

I already said that I want to come up with something original this year and decided to host another blog meme! So welcome to „SASSY Saturday“!

How does it work? Well, that’s easy! 😉

All you have to do is to follow those three golden rules:

1. Credit the creator of this tag (The Sassy Library Fox) and link back. (so I can see all your amazing answers!)
2. Answer the 5 questions below!
3. AND enjoy doing the blog meme! 😛

„SASSY Saturday“ is planned to be a monthly meme but if you want to do it more often feel free to go for it! This meme was created to get to know other bloggers, their new obsessions and to reflect on your own last month! Above all it was created to have fun though! 😉 If you want you can also use the banner I created! This said let’s head to the good part:

S – Series you loved this month

I started with „Tales of the City“ on Netflix and I’ve become addicted to it pretty fast. *lol* This series is right up my alley! I mean we have San Francisco, the queer community, lots of different representations, humour and a mystery on top of all the crazy family and relationship dynamics! What’s not to love?! Plus I really like Ellen Page and she’s one of the MCs! 😀

A – Author you discovered

Kerri Maniscalco! Her „Stalking Jack the Ripper“ series was all over my feed for months and I finally managed to read the first book! She has a really nice and easy writing style and if Thomas Cresswell isn’t enough reason to read the rest of the series, then I dunno! 😛

S – Song you couldn’t get enough of

Papa Roach – Come Around

I don’t know what it is about this song but I really love it! Whenever it plays on my radio I turn the volume up and sing along with it! XD Guess „stuck at home me“ kind of relates to the text somehow. *lol*

S – Surprise – Something that totally caught you off guard

Well, my sudden addiction to webcomics definitely counts as a surprise! At the beginning of April I kind of fell into the webcomic rabbit hole and I guess I never climbed out of it. *lol* On tapas there are just too many awesome comics and I found quite a few favourites I’ll continue to follow. 😀

Y – Your fave blog post of another blogger

„Don’t Miss This! – How to Travel When You’re Stuck at Home“ @ The Library Lady Travels

I love Geanie’s travel blog and this blog post was amazing! I didn’t know about „Google’s Art and Culture“ website and definitely learned something new by reading her post! 😀 What I loved the most were the „10 Incredible Libraries of the World“! So beautiful! This instantly made me want to tavel to other countries and see them for myself. *lol* (Which sadly isn’t possible right now but that’s another story. XD)

Rankenzeile

What do you think about „SASSY Saturday“? Would you like to join the fun? Did you watch „Tales of the City“ too? What surprised you last month?

Tell me and let me know! 😉

250 Followers Celebration Post!!! Woot! – What should we do to celebrate? =)

Hey there, my lovelies!

I thought that 250 Followers would qualify for an unscheduled blog post! XD I mean, dang! That’s so amazing!!! There are 257 of you out there now and I couldn’t be happier!

(I’m a horrible person though because I didn’t even realize that there are so many of you now….*lol*)

When I wrote down my New Year’s resolutions in January I definitely didn’t expect to hit this number so soon. XD So a huge THANK YOU to everyone who’s following my blog! No matter if you’re already a regular or a newbie I really appreciate your support! ❤

I initially planned to make a Giveaway when I hit that number but I’m not all too convinced this is a good idea right now. Especially not in the times of Covid-19. (I could send the winner the package but I really dunno if it would even get to you in those rather turbulent times.)

This blog is a democracy though (is it really? *lol*) so I decided to give you guys a choice! I came up with three ideas and the one that gets the most likes from you (just say which one you prefer in the comments) will be done! 😉

1.) I’ll try to draw your favourite book character in my own manga style. (Oh gods! It’s been ages I last did something like that…) I’d make a blog post and you’d write your favourites into the comments and then I’d pull 2 (?!) of them out of my bowl and try to draw them? Sounds good? XD

2.) I could make a 250 Followers celebration video and upload it on here? Maybe answer 3 questions in (video)person as well? Okay, that idea isn’t fully developed yet but maybe you have some ideas?! 😛

3.) A book giveaway! I know I said that I don’t think it’s wise to do one in these times but if you really want to go for it and think that the parcel would still be able to get to your place I’d try my best to make it work! (Yes, I love you guys enough to give it a shot and to disinfect everything before I send it to you! 😉 *lol*)

Sooo the choice is up to you! I’ll let you know what it’s going to be as soon as I have all of your answers! =)

Have fun voting! And as always:

Try to stay healthy and safe! Take care! ❤

Hugs’n’kisses OR Dismissed by the Missus/Messrs

hugs'n'kisses or dismissed by the missus

Hey there, my lovelies!

Wow, the last time I did one of those was in November! Boy was this long ago! XD In my defence: Before Christmas I was very busy and I guess the holidays as well as the aftermath of them kept me pretty occupied too. *lol* So here I am, doing my first blog meme after two months. (How time flies by! XD)

The rules:

1.) Link back to the original post @ The Sassy Library Fox (I really want to know if it works out for you and I’m curious about your book choices! ;-))

2.) Choose 3 random numbers from 1 to the end of your TBR list. (In my case it are 3 random numbers from 1 – 287, so for instance I’ll pick 55, 108 and 224)

3.) Take a look at the 3 books on your TBR. (55 – Traitor’s Blade, 108 – Frostblood, 224 – Ham on Rye)

4.)  Then you follow the rhyme:

One to hug and read, (Traitor’s Blade: This sounds really intriguing and to think I didn’t even know this was on my TBR. *lol* Sometimes even I am surprised about what I find on it. XD )

One to kiss and keep, (Frostblood: There was a time this was all over my feed so I’m still curious about it and it stays! ;-P)

One to dismiss and weep! (Ham on Rye: This might be a pretty interesting read but honestly atm I don’t see myself reading this all too soon. So yeah for now it’s dismissed from my list.)

5.) Read the book you hugged and kept within a month and repeat the process as often and as frequently as you like. (I’ll do this once a month and hopefully it will help me to reduce my TBR ;-P)

Rankenzeile

There are still 288 books left on my TBR list but since I added a few lately it’s no surprise that it didn’t get less. If anything it’s a surprise it didn’t get more! *lol* 😉 I’m still aiming to get it down to 275 and I’m confident I’ll reach that goal this year! This said: Let’s see if the „Traitor’s Blade“ is as good as it seems to be! XD

German speaking Authors Year & My bookish New Year’s resolutions for 2020

German speaking authors year 2020

Hey there, my lovelies!

What the hell is a „German speaking Authors Year“ might have been the first question that popped into your mind when you saw my banner. And I can totally understand it. *lol* Well, I guess you want an explanation now, am I right? 😉

So here it goes: I recently had a chat with a German reviewer and we realized that even though there are many great German authors that sold plenty of books most of them are still vastly underrated and never get the attention they deserve. Some books of them are even translated into 15 different languages, yet they are barely known in other countries.

So I thought, why not dedicate an entire year to find those hidden gems and to bring them to your attention? Maybe some of you might even want to join me and discover some great books as well?! You never know! XD

In order to keep some sort of system that won’t interfere with My Book List 2020 I decided to categorize my „German speaking Authors Year“ into quarterly challenges.

January – March: Romance & Science Fiction

April – June: Fantasy & Young Adult

July – September: Historical & Classics

October – December: Horror & Thriller

I’ll try to read as many books of German authors that fall into those genres (knowing me that will be quite a challenge…) and hopefully this will work out somehow. *lol* I’d love to see some of you join me but it’s also okay if you don’t and only live through me. 😛

If you actually decide to participate (which would be awesome btw!!) please make sure to link back to this post though. I’m a very curious person and I’d love to see which kind of books you choose! Who knows, I might even discover great new German authors I never even heard about. 😉

Anyway, if I read a German book and write a review about it I’ll make sure to use my banner. That way you’ll always know that it’s part of my challenge. Also if you resolve to  join me, feel free to use my banner as well! The more the merrier! XD

This said, let’s head to the second topic of my post:

My bookish New Year’s resolutions for 2020:

– Don’t read more than 5 books at the same time! (Ha! Did you notice that it were 3 books last year? In 2019 I always ended up reading at least 5 – 7 books though, so I’m really trying to get a grip on that. *lol* Apparently the litte time I had left still didn’t keep me from reading way too many books at the same time… Still, if it are more than 5 books it takes me forever to finish them so I’ll really do my best to keep it at five!)

– Don’t add more than 290 books to my TBR pile. It are 287 at the moment, but I still want to get the number down to at least 275. Since I was off way worse last year (302) I actually almost managed to reach that 2019 goal.

– Read the books I already own!! (There are so many books on my bookshelves and on my e-reader and I finally NEED to read them!! >_< *giving myself the stink eye*)

– Don’t borrow more than 3 books from the library! Just kidding! *LOL* There’s no way I can only borrow 3 books from the library and I know it! Last year I even managed to exhaust the maximum of 25 books. *facepalm* Let’s say… not more than 15 at the same time? (and even that will be hell! XD)

– Stick to My Book List 2020 and finish My Book List 2019! This is going to be fun! *lol* (Me being sarcastic? No way! 😛 )

– I want to continue with my blog meme „Hugs’n’kisses OR Dismissed by the Missus/Messrs! And I definitely want to write more discussion posts! XD I have so many ideas, I just have to find some time to write them down.

– I might try to create an own book tag. I have no idea in which direction it will go, but I feel very creative and 2020 might be the perfect year to get out of my comfort zone and to try new things. 😉 Now that my blog is somewhat established I feel ready for it.

– Get 250 followers on my blog. 😉 It could happen! Oh and I want to host another giveaway once I hit that number! I enjoyed doing the first one so much and I loved to prepare the parcel for the winner! It was so much fun and it made me so happy to send it away. 😀

– Reorganize my physical bookshelves. They need another makeover and my LGBTQ+ section became so huge that I’ve to think about how I want to arrange it. *lol*

– Start an Instagram? Make a short video? Or get more involved in other social media. I dunno! There are so many options and I have no idea where to begin. XD What do you say? I’m sure you guys have a lot more expertise than I do. 😉

– Relocate some of my longer reviews from goodreads to my blog. The word limit seems to become less and less and I’m worried about all those long reviews I wrote over the years. Maybe one day they’ll just delete them because they are too long and after all the effort I put into them I can’t let that happen. *lol* So over the next year there will be weeks I might post thrice in order to resettle them here.

– And last but not least: Go through with my „German Speaking Author’s Year“!!! 😀

Rankenzeile

So, enough about me!

What are YOUR New Year’s resolutions for 2020? Do you have a book list like me or are you a mood reader and decide spontaneously? Which book releases are you looking forward to? Are you going to re-read some of your favourite series?

Tell me and let me know! =)

Achievements of 2019 & Ideas to improve my blog

Hey there, my lovelies!

Now that the end of the year is approaching fast I thought it might be good to take a closer look at my achievements of 2019. As it seems this is becoming some sort of tradition because last year I did the same thing and it really helped me to go into the next year. It’s always good to remember and to celebrate what we achieved and it certainly gives you a positive outlook into the next year! 🙂

2019 definitely wasn’t any easier than 2018 but either my attitude changed or I’ve already been hit by way too many things to bother any longer. *lol* Maybe it’s both! Idk. I guess you might say I got used to be given lemons and by now I make the best lemonade ever. Haha! Or if you see it in a negative light: I became accustomed to sorrow. *lol* We’re not negative here though so I’ll go with the tasty lemonade theory instead! 😛

This said I’m heading right to my (for me) awesome achievements and the many good things that happened to me in 2019:

–  I’ve been blogging for an entire year now and even though I was sceptical at first I still managed to to run my blog. I don’t even know how I did it but I guess the WordPress option to plan blog posts ahead kind of saved my blogging life. XD I swear, I really wouldn’t know what to do without that one! Let’s hope WordPress never changes this feature. Haha!

– And if we’re already talking about blog posts I might add that I actually accomplished to write 2 blog posts a week, which is a lot if you consider that my time to write is kind of limited. 😀

– Which brings me right to my next achievement and probably the biggest of them all: I went back to work in January and even though I was away from it for 2 1/2 years I still managed to get back into the swing of things. With a little child that just started to go to kindergarten and got every possible illness you can think of it certainly wasn’t easy to cope with everything. For some reason we actually survived that year though. *lol* Believe me when I say that no one is more surprised about that than I am. 😛 Still, to commute 3 hours a day and to be at work 20 hours a week kind of took its toll on me. I think I never was ill as often as the last year and I definitely don’t want to continue in the same vein in 2020.

– Despite everything I still managed to read 77 books this year and exceeded my own expectations. The count is still going so I might even manage to reach 80 before the year is finally over. Considering I only wanted to reach 40 this is more than just a little amazing! ❤ (And hey I even managed to read 17 books of My Book List 2019 and if I’m good it might even turn out to be 22 by the end of 2019!!!)

– I invented a blog meme and a discussion post and I’m working hard on keeping them running. *lol* I’m pretty good with „Hugs’n’kisses OR Dismissed by the Missus/Messrs“ but I definitely will have to put more effort into „Fuss, Cuss & Discuss“. I already have so many topics I want to discuss with you, I just need to make more time and room to write about them. But I’ll eventually get there, I promise! 😉

– I once again continued to write! Which sounds pretty lame but I just love to write and it’s very important to me. I need my poetry, rp-posts, reviews and blog post like I need air to breathe so I’m thankful when I have the time to indulge in it. XD

– Okay, this is getting very personal now but for me this was such a huge step so I need to write it down in here. I came out to my bestie (Not as a faerie, she already knows about that! *lol*) and she was so cool about it that I still can’t believe it actually happened. It was such a relief to tell her and I was so glad for her words and the acceptance she showed me. ❤ She even went to the „Rainbow Parade“ with me and this was just everything!!! I really have no words how much it means to me to finally have someone who supports me and accepts me for who I am and I think I wouldn’t be here writing this if it wouldn’t have been for her! ❤

– I hosted my first giveaway and it was so much fun! I’ll definitely make one in 2020 too and hopefully will combine it with my 250 followers post! (You can always dream, right? *lol*)

– I found the „follow“ button on goodreads and enabled the function which led to me having a ton of followers. *lol* O_o I’m still in awe of the number and I’m so glad that so many people decided to follow my blog on here too. You guys are AMAZING and made of AWESOME SAUCE and I’ll never get tired of mentioning it!!! XD So be prepared to hear it every once in a while! *lol* 😛 But honestly, I’m just thankful you seem to like what I write and I’m aware that I’m very blessed to have you as my friends! ❤

– I went to the Frankfurt Book Fair 2019 with my bestie and for two days I was in book heaven! XD I got to know so many authors and I’m still trying to recover from the massive overload of everything I saw and heard. This fair was just HUGE and no matter how hard we tried, we didn’t even get to see all of it. XD

So anyway enough of me! Since it’s the 25th I also wanted to use this chance to wish you a Merry Christmas!!! I hope you’ll have a wonderful and lovely time with your family and friends and that Santa is nice and will bring tons of books your way! 😉

AND I wanted to ask if you’d be so kind and write down the things you enjoy to read on my blog. 🙂 I’m constantly working on new ideas to improve it and I noticed that there’s content you seem to like more than the rest. *lol* I just want to make sure that the things and topics I write about are still interesting for you and if there are things you’d like to read about that I didn’t even consider yet. 😉

Thank you in advance and thank you for reading through all of this! If you got this far you definitely deserve a medal! Or probably even an award! *lol*

Preparing my Book List 2020 & The “How many books of my TBR 2019 can I pack into the last 4 weeks of the year” challenge! ;-P

Hey there, my lovelies!

As some of you might know I always make a Book List (which I don’t follow) for the upcoming year and I thought this year I might go for it pretty early. XD Last year it was some sort of last minute thing but this time around I want to plan it better so I figured I might just go for it now. 🙂

I know, I know, I’m still not done with My Book List 2019 but I’m working on it with my „How many books of my TBR 2019 can I pack into the last 4 weeks of the year“ challenge! And before you ask: Yes, this is an actual thing! *lol* You can join me if you want! I’m sure I’m not the only one who just realized that there are way too many unread books on „My Book List 2019“, right? Come on, throw me a bone here! 😛 *lol*

Anywayyy! Moving on!

What I was about to say is that I’m planning to read 42 books next year, one book for every week of the year. And even though I’m going to set my goodreads challenge on 60 books I decided that I’ll once again only settle for 40 fixed books this year. So here’s where you come into play: I want you to give me some book recommendations because I’m only choosing 33 books myself and the other 7 books are up to you! 😉 (It’s 7 because I like the number. Like the 7 deadly sins, 7 days of the week, 7 colours of the rainbow (I especially like that one and what does it say about me that I thought of the 7 deadly sins first? *lol*) Never mind! What it comes down to is that I want to read seven books that YOU chose for me! 😉

I’m basically open to any genre but I might confess that I’m not big on autobiographies, self-help or religious books. So there’s that. I hope I’ll get lots of recommendations from you. Just comment on this post and if you feel like it, it can be even more than one book. In the end I’ll put all your suggestions into a bowl and will pull them out blindly. 😀 This way it should be fair. 😉

I really enjoyed last years recommendations so I hope I’ll discover many great and new books in 2020! Thank you for reading all this (I just can’t seem to be able to write short posts. >_<) and happy reading!!

Hugs’n’kisses OR Dismissed by the Missus/Messrs

hugs'n'kisses or dismissed by the missus

Hey there, my lovelies!

It’s been a while I last did my blog meme, mostly because it took me so long to read „The Poppy War“! *lol* But I’m done with the book now and I’m more than just ready for a new challenge! So without further ado, let’s do this! 😀

The rules:

1.) Link back to the original post @ The Sassy Library Fox (I really want to know if it works out for you and I’m curious about your book choices! ;-))

2.) Choose 3 random numbers from 1 to the end of your TBR list. (In my case it are 3 random numbers from 1 – 291, so for instance I’ll pick 30, 155 and 212)

3.) Take a look at the 3 books on your TBR. (30 – Stealing the Wind, 155 – The Darkest Night, 212 – Queer Magick)

4.)  Then you follow the rhyme:

One to hug and read, (Stealing the Wind: I wanted to read this for ages. I mean an m/m mermen fantasy story! Guilty pleasure wins! Sorry! *lol* 😛 )

One to kiss and keep, (Queer Magick: And here’s another guilty pleasure read. Not going to scratch that one from my list either. XD)

One to dismiss and weep! (The Darkest Night: A paranormal fantasy romance. Sounds very tropey and right now I’m just not in the mood for it. I’ll keep it in the back of my mind though. You know, just for future reference. 😛 )

5.) Read the book you hugged and kept within a month and repeat the process as often and as frequently as you like. (I’ll do this once a month and hopefully it will help me to reduce my TBR ;-P)

Rankenzeile

So even though apparently no one else is doing my blog meme except of well, „moi“, I’m still happy with it! *lol* I mean the numbers speak for themselves! Before I started with this there were about 304 books on my TBR and now I’m down to 288! And this even though I constantly add new books to it! ❤ For me that’s an achievement and I’m glad I found my own way to reduce my TBR. Maybe one of these days someone else will give it a shot as well. You never know. 😛

Your Questions – My Answers ;-P (Part II)

Hey there, my lovelies! ❤

In one of my last blog posts I celebrated 200 followers and invited you to ask me some personal questions. As it seems you guys are pretty shy. *lol* Well, at least there weren’t any scandalous questions coming my way so I had no trouble answering them properly. 😛 (For once I didn’t have to use my silver-tongued faerie skills to blur the truth. Haha!)

Anyway! I really liked your questions and it was a lot of fun to answer them so thank you for making this interesting! XD I hope my answers will satisfy your curiosity and if not, just ask me an additional question in the comments. 😉

This said, let’s head directly to your interesting questions! =)

Rankenzeile

Hamad @ The Book Prescription

What is your reading routine?

Trying to get as many pages into my day as possible? *lol* Just kidding! Or not. XD Well, mostly I read about 4 – 5 different books and I vary between them. Like I’ll read a book when I drive to work (I’m a commuter and it takes 1 1/2 hours to get to my job), another one when I head back from work and a third one when I finally collapse on my sofa at night. And yes, everyone who knows their maths must have figured that this were only three books, so here comes the explanation: Different days, different books! 😉 Ever since I became a part of goodreads I also began to use those little post-its in order to mark all those awesome quotes. And yes, sometimes my physical copies look like a little hedgehog! *lol*

Geanie @ The Library Lady Travels

How did you come up with such a great name for your blog?

Ohh I absolutely love that one! ❤ There actually went a lot of thought into it. XD I always loved libraries and they are some sort of sanctuary for me. Whenever I felt sad or lonely, I’d escape into the nearest library and would get lost in those endless rows of books. Even now I feel at home there. So once when I was there with my bestie she said she’d go into another section while I skimmed the English bookshelves. She was like: „You know where to find me?“ And I answered: „Of course! I practically live here and kinda have a registration form.“ *lol* So I knew that there had to be „library“ in my name. 😛 As for the sassy and fox part. Well, everyone who knows me in real life knows that I’m sassy as hell. So that was kind of a no-brainer. Haha! *shrugs* Regarding the „fox“ there went quite some thought into it as well. It’s not only my spirit animal but I also share quite some character traits with it. *lol* Plus according to Chinese and Japanese mythology foxes are some sort of shape shifters that can change into any form. Which fits my nature more than just well. And if I’d try to explain this statement my answer would turn into an essay so I better leave it at that. 😛 (I’m being deliberately cryptic here. XD)

Kaya @ A Fictional Bookworm

What is the number one thing you’d recommend doing (or not doing!) for a new blogger?

Just do your thing! And I mean it! When I started with my blog I had that idea of a fox themed site and I stuck by it. It was difficult to get my blog running because I had no idea what to expect or where to start. The important thing is that I WANTED it to work out though. So I started to draw my fox and my paws, made some pictures etc. As long as you have an idea and are willing to make it real everything is possible. Plus try to connect with other bloggers! It helped me so much to get tips from them! (I’ll always be thankful for the mention of Canva!!!) I think once you have something unique and manage to turn your idea into a blog, your baby is going to take off no matter what. 😉 As for the „not doing“ part: Don’t be a hermit. *lol* The blogger community is awesome and it’s fun to make new friends!

What’s the biggest difference between reviewing books on GR and your blog?
I think the main difference is that I post more reviews on Goodreads. There’s a review for every book I read on there, even if it’s a very short one. On my blog I don’t post as many reviews and not as often, mostly because I write about other things on here too. For instance I do tags and write either personal posts or poetry. Goodreads is all about reviews, my blog is about my personal life and character too. 😉 So basically you could say not every review I write on goodreads makes its way on my blog. Only the good and the exceptionally long ones! *lol* Because lets face it: I actually DO write super long reviews and the word limit on goodreads makes it impossible to write down all of my feelings and thoughts. So I’d write a short version on goodreads and post the „extended version“ on here. 😉

Are you studying or working? If you are studying, you are a college or a university student? If you are working, what is your job?

I’m working and I’ve been working for the last 11 years or so. *lol* (Exception were the 2 1/2 years parental leave) I wish I’d still be a university student! Haha! Life was way easier back then. XD So to answer your question: I went to uni but only for about two terms. After I graduated I began to study psychology, history and international affairs, but unfortunately I realized that I just didn’t want to study any more and therefore started to look for a job. I guess I could have become a chef because I have a diploma but I decided to become an assistant instead. So that’s exactly what I’m doing right now: I work as an assistant at an NGO. 😉
