Hey there, my lovelies!
It’s tag time and today I’ll go for a special one! Sabrina created this tag a while ago and I thought now that I finially read the first book I might as well go for it! 😉 I’m sure everyone who knows Sabrina also knows that she’s obsessed with ‘The School for Good and Evil’ series by Soman Chainani and so it’s no surprise she was inspired enough to actually go for her own tag! First of all I want to say: THANK YOU, Sabrina!!! Because I feel really honored that you considered me worthy enough to tag me. And secondly I need to tell you how AMAZING those prompt graphics are! Like OMG! I’m in awe. ❤ This said, let’s do this! 😀
- Thank whoever tagged you and link back to their post!
- Link to the original tag’s creator: Sabrina @ Notes From a Paper Plane Nomad! Please credit if using these graphics, these eyeballs didn’t dry out squinting at a screen for nothing 👀
- Pick a book that fits each prompt.
- Tag whoever, as many or as few as you like!
- Post these rules and list of prompts in your tag post. If you copy-paste the rules, it should automatically pingback to me so I’ll see your tag post!
Ahh I can already tell that Sabrina will like that choice *lol*. I’ll go with „Carry On“ here because I really never would have expected to love this book so much! I went into this expecting some sort of Harry Potter fanfic and what I got was so much more!! ❤ Simon and Baz are the best and I just adore this book!!! Also aside from the obvious points it has absolutely nothing in common with HP! XD
I think „Radio Silence“ definitely fits that bill. It was so beautiful to see how the friendship between Frances and Aled gave them the courage to be who they truly are! ❤ It enabled them to embrace their true selves and made them so much braver than they would have been on their own. I just loved their character arcs and I really, really want their clothes and Aled’s hair! *lol*
I’m only about 40% into the book but I love it already!! „The Starless Sea“ is probably the embodiment of a unique and unforgettable book and I love it with every fibre of my heart! Erin Morgenstern’s imagination is epic and I really hope she’ll write even more magical books. They are all so mysterious, mesmerising, beautiful and whimsical!
Another book I’m currently reading: „House of Salt and Sorrows“. It’s some sort of „The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes“ retelling and I’m enjoying it immensely! I mean the original fairy tale already had some sort of dark edge to it, but I think Erin A. Craig lifted it to an entirely different level. This is dark and creepy and I’m so here for it. XD
Since I already used „Carry On“ I’ll go for „Red, White & Royal Blue“ this time around! Henry and Alex were so damn adorable and Henry is the most precious and sweetest thing! ❤ I love this prince and it’s no wonder Alex fell so hard for him. RWRB was one of the best bookish experiences ever and I still think it’s an amazing and hopeful book. 😀
I don’t read many collections or anthologies but „The Language of Thorns“ was a really great collection of short stories. I loved that they were all so dark and cruel, just like the old fairy tales we all know and grew up with. Leigh did an amazing job with this book and the drawings only made this even better. I can totally recommend this if you want to read modern fairy tales. XD
The last girl gang I read about and loved was the one from Sarah J. Maas’s „Catwoman“! I swear Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Catwoman were such a great trio! *lol* They certainly gave Batwing a run for his money and I loved their friendship even though they had quite a few arguments. XD Now that I think about it I’ve to say that there need to be more girl gangs in books. I mostly know mixed bookish squads but almost no girl gang.
Is it weird to say „Fence“? *lol* It’s one of the few collaborations I know about and C.S. Pacat works with Joana LaFuente, Johanna the Mad and Jim Campbell so there are definitely a lot of people involved in this graphic novel. 😉 Plus all those boys are so sweet! I can’t wait to read how it’s going to continue!
„Vicious“ by V.E. Schwab! Don’t tell me you didn’t see that one coming! XD I mean Victor and Eli are the embodiment of complex villains and I just adore Victor so damn much! ❤ This man is dangerous but also hot as hell and he has feelings even though they are buried deep. *lol* Ahh I just love Victor Vale! Period!
At the risk of feeling the wrath of many readers who love this book to bits and pieces: „The Catcher in the Rye“! I just couldn’t read this book. I mean I did read it, but it was pure torture! *lol* I have no idea why so many people love it and it was the favourite of my English teacher which was the main reason I gave it a try. Whatever the magic of this book, it was totally lost on me. Sorry!
I can’t remember ever being as stressed by a book as I was when I read „Muse of Nightmares“. Seriously, the entire book had me at the edge of my seat and whenever I thought it couldn’t get any worse, it just got … well worse. *lol* Laini Taylor killed me with this and my stress level was off the charts! >_< I’m still recovering from reading „Muse of Nightmares“ which is the main reason I haven’t posted a review yet. I need to calm down first. XD

Of course you don’t have to do the tag if you don’t want to, it would make me happy though. *makes huge puppy eyes* *lol* And if you’re worried you might be spoiled for the series, Sabrina said it’s spoiler free. 😉
I hope you enjoyed reading through the tag! I definitely had a lot of fun doing it!
This said: Take care and stay healthy! ❤
