I saw this tag on Destiny’s @ Howling Libraries blog and because I’m so curious I read through it and was automatically tagged. *lol* Being the responsible fox that I am I immediately decided to do the tag as well. (Better now than never, right?!) So here I go! I hope you enjoy! 😉
1) a really hyped book you’re not interested in reading:
Ha! The only book I can think of here is “It” from Stephen King. *lol* Why won’t I ever read it? Because quite honestly King’s books always give me the creeps and this is about clowns and I hate clowns. They freak me out big time. Actually you might even say that I have a mild coulrophobia. (I never should have watched Chucky the murderdoll as a kid) Urgh, so no clowns for me. Never ever! Sorry Stephen but that book won’t land on my TBR. XD
2) a series you won’t start/won’t be finishing:
The “Otherland” series from Tad Williams. I read the first book “City of Golden Shadow” because I loved his “Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn” series, but I just couldn’t get into this one. I really tried, I fought through the entire first book, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I couldn’t even fathom the world he tried to explain and everything was so complicated and made no sense to me. *shrugs*
3) a classic you’re not interested in:
Mhmm that’s a tough one. There are many classics I loved and enjoyed and I really can’t think of a single classic I wouldn’t at least give a try. I can only tell you which classic I’ll never ever read again and that would be “The Catcher in the Rye”. The book made absolutely no sense to me and I really don’t like it. And before you ask, yes I read it when I was a teen but that didn’t change anything about my opinion. 😉
4) a genre you never read:
Self-help? Autobiographies?
5) a book on your shelves you’ll probably never actually read:
“Technisches Zeichnen” by Hans Hoischen and Wilfried Hesser. Not that I have anything against technical drawing but it’s a book from my hubby and I doubt I’ll ever feel tempted to take a closer look at it. *lol* Then again, never say never. ;-P

I respect your answer in not being interested in IT but thought I clarify that IT is actually an entity and the clown/Pennywise is just one physical manifestation of it.

Thanks for that clarification. XD I’m still afraid of Pennywise though. *lol*

Thank you for tagging me! 😊 Also, I second your first answer. It seems way too scary for me and I intensely dislike clowns.

You’re welcome, Iris! 😀 Haha! Well, that’s also a good reason not to read it. XD

i SERIOUSLY feel you on not wanting to read IT. not only can i NOT read horror but just, the sheer SIZE of the book kills me every time i think about picking it up. catcher in the rye sounds kinda,,,,,,boring from what i’ve heard lol and i’ll take your word for it

I used to read horror when I was younger but I somehow became a scaredy cat over the years. *lol* And so true! This book is HUGE!! I hate „The Catcher in the Rye“ I think it’s the only book I ever only gave one star. XD

God, i hate clowns! I really hate clowns! And his books are unnecessarily long and tedious! I loved the catcher in the rye when i read it first but the second time I hated that book! Though, Holden is the most relatable character for me!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who dislikes them! XD And it’s kind of funny how our opinions can change after we read a book for the second time.
